Dallas, Texas — October 2025 — Midlothian Angel Network (Midlo Angels) is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Roti Balogun and Tosin Omotayo to its Board of Governors (BoG). These appointments mark a significant step in expanding the board’s strategic expertise across leadership, governance, and operational excellence as Midlo continues to strengthen its investment footprint across North America and Africa.

Dr. Balogun and Omotayo bring decades of executive experience in human capital leadership, technology, finance, and professional services — reinforcing Midlo’s vision to build a globally connected ecosystem of investors, mentors, and innovators driving sustainable economic growth.

Dr. Balogun is a global HR thought leader and technology innovator dedicated to advancing the future of work, employability, and entrepreneurship through digital transformation. He is the Founder of WESOnline, an AI-powered talent marketplace that connects companies, professional bodies, and schools to enable guided mentorship, experiential learning, and virtual internship experiences.

Previously, Dr. Balogun served as Chief Talent Officer for Chase (JPMorgan Chase & Co.), where he led global succession planning and workforce development initiatives across more than 150,000 employees. His earlier leadership roles include Chief Talent Officer at GE Power (Vernova), CHRO for GE & Baker Hughes Oil & Gas International Markets, and senior positions at Ericsson, where he managed talent and business strategy across 43 African markets.

Roti holds an Executive Doctorate in Education (Ed.D.) and an M.S.Ed. in Organizational Leadership from the Graduate School of Education (GSE), University of Pennsylvania (UPenn), an MBA from Imperial College London, and a Master’s in Electronic & Software Engineering from Loughborough University, UK. He currently serves on several boards, including the UPenn’s Graduate School of Education.

Tosin Omotayo

Tosin Omotayo is a seasoned accounting professional with over two decades of experience. Nineteen years ago, he founded Omotayo CPA, a firm that has since become a trusted partner to businesses across diverse industries. Throughout his career, Tosin has led numerous consulting engagements, M&As, and business process improvement initiatives, delivering comprehensive accounting and advisory services. Known for his innovative mindset, he champions what he calls “3-D thinking” — a forward-looking approach that redefines traditional accounting and drives transformative business outcomes.

In addition to leading Omotayo CPA, Tosin is the co-host of the Beyond the Grind Podcast, where he shares thought leadership on professional growth, financial strategy, and leadership excellence.

A graduate of the University of Texas at Arlington, where he earned his degree in Accounting, Tosin also holds an MBA from Dallas Baptist University. Beyond his professional practice, he serves as Chairman of the Board for the Tosin and Funmi Omotayo Foundation, where he provides strategic leadership and oversight to philanthropic initiatives focused on community empowerment and education.

He brings to the board a wealth of experience in governance, fiscal responsibility, and organizational development, complementing Midlo’s mission to equip investors and founders with strong financial and operational foundations.

Farewell to Outgoing Board Members

As part of this leadership transition, Midlothian Angel Network extends its deepest appreciation to Major (Rtd.) Adebayo Adeleke, Dr. Adeola “Addy” Olubamiji, and Paul Sasaenia Oluwabunmi, who have completed their distinguished terms on the Board of Governors.

Major Adeleke, who served two terms, played a pivotal role in advancing Midlo’s strategic partnerships, diaspora engagement, and thought leadership in supply chain management, national security and entrepreneurship.

Dr. Addy Olubamiji, a global advocate for women in STEM and technology inclusion, helped shape Midlo’s mentorship and innovation programs.

Paul Sasaenia Oluwabunmi, a respected financial executive and early supporter of Midlo’s founding vision, contributed significantly to the organization’s governance and expansion strategy. Paul recently transitioned to the role of Senior Vice President, Market Tech Architecture & Data at Citi

All three leaders will continue to serve as members of the Advisory Council, where their experience and insights will remain invaluable to the network’s ongoing mission. Midlo wishes them continued success in their future endeavors and expresses heartfelt gratitude for their service, leadership, and lasting impact.

Strategic Strengthening Across Committees

These board appointments follow Midlo’s recent expansion of its Investment Committee (IC) — a strategic enhancement that introduced a new cadre of professionals with deep expertise in AI, engineering, fintech, and venture analysis. Together, the BoG and IC will drive governance excellence, investment rigor, and sustainable growth across the Midlo ecosystem.
